I Adopted a Dog! Now What?
I was in a panic! My heart was racing and I was unsure of what to do! The situation was getting out of control! I adopted a dog! Now what? Continue reading
Our Review of the Progressive EMS Surge Protector
Let me start out by saying that Tempo and I practice safe RV’ing so ample protection is a “must have”. Upon buying our first RV we did a lot of research regarding necessary equipment for the newbie RV’er, reading blogs, forums and the like. One of the safety items that continued to come up is the surge protector. I find this confusing. All RVs could include surge protectors as a built-in item to mitigate the risk of high or low voltage to the rig’s systems and appliances. Unfortunately this is not the case. Continue reading
Review of Chickasaw National Recreation Area
The Chickasaw National Recreation Area is located near Sulphur, Oklahoma Between Interstate 35 and State Highway 177, South of Highway 7. We camped in Section C of the Buckhorn Campground located on the South Eastern end of the Lake of the Arbuckles. This 10,000 acre recreation area was established by the US government in 1902 with the cooperation of the Chickasaw Nation. Improvements were made by the depression era Civilian Conservation Corps program.
Our Review of Petit Jean State Park, Arkansas
Petit Jean State Park, Arkansas is among my favorite state parks we have experienced to date. Located in the Ouachita mountains, south of I-40 near Conway, Petit Jean (pronounced “Petty Jean” by locals) is a sprawling expanse of goodness consisting of great campgrounds, endless hiking trails and unforgettable scenery. Livin’ Livingston
“Livin’ Livingston” – Review of Lake Livingston State Park (with a twist)
Tempo and I like to take advantage of every opportunity to escape our city lives and work remotely from our rig. Preferably at a scenic spot away from people. Once again we were able to point The Whip south and head out of town on a Monday afternoon, our work duties complete for the day. Our destination; Lake Livingston State Park. We would be “Livin’ Livingston” for the week! This stunningly beautiful lake is located in the Piney Woods, East of I-45 near Huntsville, TX. We made our obligatory overnight stop at a Walmart in Madisonville, Texas and drove on to Lake Livingston the next morning. Continue reading
On the first day of Christmas my Tempo gave to me…
…a red cat in my RV (Tempo?)!

My Blair Witch Project (almost)!
“I was lost! I mean really lost.” The sky was cloudy and I had about two hours left ’til sundown. I must have been walking for hours and somehow I wandered off of the trail and onto a series of water run-off type “trails” that seemed to spider web out into a worm hole…toward the Orion Nebula…or the Blair Witch
Our Review of Eisenhower State Park, TX
Tempo and I work full time. But we also travel a lot (logging 6,000 miles in the last six months or so), often managing to get away in The Whip for a week (or longer) at a time. For the times when we don’t have the band-width for a long get away, Eisenhower State Park, Texas is an ideal destination for us to have a quick, long week-end camping trip.
